This is a nice village in Frosinone, the town is in the region of Lazio in Italy as well-known as Ciociaria. The village is situated at 650 metres above sea level and is on the slopes of the Apennines mountains. It is only one hundred kilometres away from Rome and it is reached by car. First by the motorway of the sun Rome-Frosinone and then by the dual-carriageway Frosinone-Sora. From Sora to Pescosolido there are two main roads which are easily accessible. At the moment, the village has a population of about one thousand five hundred. Sixty years ago the population was almost three thousand. In fact, since 1950 many young people have emigrated to Canada, the United States of America or Australia to search for a new job. A few of them came back but the majority remained in the new countries, they married and had children.

The people are very hospitable, careful and they pay attention to the visitors and the guests which come to spend their many days off. The average age of people is quite high because births are infrequent. Emigration took away the young people, leaving only a middle-aged population. The landscape is wonderful because up and down it’s possible to admire the river Liri. This is a large valley where there are many different villages on the hills. In the evenings and in the nights the lights shine and the landscape seems like a crib. All the buildings are quite new because of the earthquake in 1915 destroyed the old village which has been rebuilt in a more secure place. Nevertheless, there are a few buildings which have been adapted to withstand earthquakes. The weather is very kind. In the depths of winter it isn’t very cold and at the height of the summer season it isn’t very hot; in the spring and in the autumn, it is very wonderful because the majority of days are very sunny. Behind there are the Apennines mountains which defend the village from the icy winds northwards. Around there are many woods, into which it is comfortable to go for a walk a long way from the noises of the city and to breath in the fresh air. The food is very good. It’s possible to enjoy the farm products made according to the best and the most ancient traditions. In particular, it is possible taste the wine, white and red, the olive oil and the honey. The nearness of the woods, as a matter of fact, promotes the presence of the bees and the production of the honey. The water is clear and without any chemical additives because it arrives a the village directly from the mountains.
